Thank you for your interest in the Extension Master Gardener℠ Program of Transylvania County. We have a long history of community involvement and education. The Master Gardeners create, support, and enrich N.C. Cooperative Extension of Transylvania County’s educational programs. We need good people who are familiar with using non-biased, research-based information to educate and empower the citizens of Transylvania County.
Master Gardener Trainees will attend classes every Tuesday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. from February 4th to April 29th. Each trainee donates 40 hours to our approved community development programs throughout the 2025 calendar year. Absences are allowed but will need to be discussed with the Ag Agent. The cost of the class is $200, which pays for your textbook, state association fees, and a really nice Master Gardener shirt. Payment is due on the first day of class. PLEASE NOTE: if this cost prohibits you from taking the class, communicate with us and we may be able to assist.
The deadline to apply is December 10, 2024.
