Introducing Cloverbucks!

4-H Members in Transylvania County, you can now earn and spend Cloverbucks! Cloverbucks are a form of scholarship money that can be used to cover registration fees for county, state, district, or even national events. One Cloverbuck equals one US dollar.

How to Earn Cloverbucks:


  1. County Activity Day: Participate and earn 5 Cloverbucks per entry.
  2. Mountain State Fair: Exhibit your projects at the fair, turn in a photo or original entry tag to the Extension Office, and earn 5 Cloverbucks per entry.
  3. Project Record Books: Submit your project record book or portfolio to the 4-H agent and earn 10 Cloverbucks per submission.

Redemption Process:


  • For district/state event fees: Turn in paper Cloverbucks with the invoice or payment receipt.
  • For county program fees: Use paper Cloverbucks instead of cash or check.

Important Notes:


  • You are responsible for any costs not covered by Cloverbucks.
  • Cloverbucks do not expire.
  • Use them individually or save up for a bigger expense.
  • Cloverbucks are exclusive to Transylvania County and cannot be used outside the county.
  • To use them for district/state events, submit them to the Transylvania County Extension Office.
