Raising Backyard Poultry Presentation

Are you raising a small flock of poultry or considering getting started? If so, this program is for you.

The Transylvania County Cooperative Extension is hosting a presentation on Raising Backyard Poultry. Extension Agricultural Agent Lauren Green, the regional poultry specialist, will discuss the most important aspects of starting and maintaining a healthy and productive flock.

Topics to be discussed are:

choosing breeds
brooding chicks
selecting chicks
feed and nutrition
housing
predator prevention
health

The program is being held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Transylvania County Board of Elections Conference Room, 150 S. Gaston St. Brevard, NC 28712

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM EST
