23-24 - Garden Jubilee in Downtown Hendersonville, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Garden Jubilee, presented by Stuller Power Solutions is one of the largest gardening shows in Western North Carolina, will be held on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Nearly 200 plant and craft vendors lining Main Street. Free admission.
30 – All About Soils: Understanding and Improving Soils of the Southern Appalachians, 1:00-3:00 pm at Asheville Botanical Garden, 151 W.T. Weaver Blvd., Asheville, NC 28787. Dalton Buchanan of the NC Division of Soil and Water Conservation explores the science of soil, covering soil testing, common problems, and practical tips for working with slopes, clay, raised beds, and wooded landscapes.
