Login to 4-H this summer with a fun and educational camp series.

Each Wednesday from July 13th – August 10th youth will have the chance to dive into a different world of 4-H through hands on games, activities, and crafts. From STEM to health, your child will have the opportunity to level up their skills. Participation is free thanks to a generous donation from Transylvania County Farm Bureau! Register for one day or sign up for them all!

There are two sessions per day based on age. Cloverbuds (ages 5-7) are from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. each day and Juniors (ages 8-12) are from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. each day. When registering please make sure youth is registered for their correct age group.

July 13th

Theme: Plant Power
Location: Silvermont Community Garden
Time: Cloverbuds (ages 5-7) 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; Juniors (ages 8-12) 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

From roots to leaves and all things in between, youth will spend the day learning about the power of plants in their lives and the world beyond. make a homemade rain gauge, team up with friends to find all of the items on a garden scavenger hunt, learn how to dance like a bee, and much more!

July 20th

Theme: STEM Spectacular
Location: Transylvania County Extension Office
Time: Cloverbuds (ages 5-7) 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; Juniors (ages 8-12) 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Unlock your inner engineer or scientist with a day of hands-on experiments. From learning how to make a flashlight out of a battery and aluminum foil to crafting a tornado in a bottle, you will have a chance to see just how spectacular STEM can be!

July 27th

Theme: Healthy Heroes
Location: Transylvania County Extension Office
Time: Cloverbuds (ages 5-7) 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; Juniors (ages 8-12) 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Learn how to get superhero strong through yummy food and fun activities. Test out your chef skills making a healthy snack, get your wiggles out with yoga and fun group games, and so much more!

August 3rd

Theme: Forestry Fun

Immerse yourself in the natural world with a fun day exploring forestry. Take a hike, identify your favorite trees, and learn all the ways this valuable resource contributes to our everyday lives.

August 10th

Theme: Animal Adventures

Time: Cloverbuds (ages 5-7) 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; Juniors (ages 8-12) 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Take a walk on the adventurous side and spend a day learning all about animals. Learn how to lead a goat, determine exactly what kind of food a pig needs to eat, map out exactly how many stomachs a cow has, and much more!

Registration for all Summer Fun events opens May 16th 2022. Check back here on or after May 16th for registration links.

Youth must be enrolled in 4-H prior to registration. Youth can be enrolled in 4-H using 4-H Online. For more information on 4-H enrollment please visit the enrollment page on the Transylvania County Cooperative Extension Website. Space is limited for each camp.
